An ERP system tailored to your company

ERP system development brings all areas of a company's operations — accounting, warehouse, sales, production, HR and project management — together in one integrated platform. Off-the-shelf solutions (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo) are often either too complex for small companies or do not allow specific processes to be customised.

social.tech develops custom ERP systems for small and medium-sized Latvian companies — from manufacturing and wholesale to the service sector. The system is built in modules: we start with the most critical processes and add modules gradually, so that the investment pays back sooner.

We can integrate the system with the accounting software popular in Latvia (Horizon, Zalktis, Tildes Jumis), with banks and with EDS. A custom approach means you pay only for the features you will actually use, without the monthly licence trap.

What is ERP system development?

ERP system development is building a custom enterprise resource planning system that brings accounting, warehouse, sales, production, HR and project management together on one platform. A custom ERP system is needed when off-the-shelf solutions (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo) are too complex for a small company or do not allow specific processes to be customised. The first ERP module (MVP) is developed in 2–3 months, and a full ERP system in 6–12 months. An ERP MVP with 2–3 modules starts from ~25,000 EUR. For SRC (Ship Repair Company), social.tech brought projects, employee documents, planning and time tracking together in one system; the HWI system covers raw material intake, production and pallet tracking. social.tech builds an ERP system in modules, starting with the most critical process:

  • warehouse and production planning;
  • orders, approval chains and purchasing suggestions;
  • real-time dashboards for the manager;
  • integration with Horizon, Zalktis, Tildes Jumis and EDS;
  • mobile access with barcode scanning and an offline mode.
What you get

What does a company get from a custom ERP system?

A custom ERP system lets you start with the most critical module and add the others gradually, instead of investing in everything at once. Integration with Horizon, Zalktis, Tildes Jumis and EDS removes double data entry. The manager sees turnover, stock levels and cash flow on one screen, and the data remains yours.

Off-the-shelf ERP vs custom ERP
Feature Off-the-shelf ERP (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo) Custom ERP
Licences Licences and implementation No monthly licence trap; you pay only for the features you will use
Customisation Often too complex for small companies, or does not allow specific processes to be customised Modular approach: starts with the most critical process, the other modules are added gradually
Integration with Latvian accounting software Depends on the vendor Horizon, Zalktis, Tildes Jumis and EDS — waybills, invoices, VAT returns, payroll data
Implementation time Depends on the vendor First module 2–3 months; full system 6–12 months
Hosting and source code Depends on the vendor Hosting in Latvia, in the EU or on your own server; we hand over the source code, a transfer of copyright can be provided for in the contract

Modular architecture

We start with the most critical module (e.g. warehouse or production) and add the others gradually. You do not have to invest in everything at once.

Integration with Latvian accounting software

We can integrate with Horizon, Zalktis, Tildes Jumis and EDS, so that data does not have to be entered twice.

Real-time business dashboards

The manager sees turnover, profit, stock levels, production plans and cash flow on one screen, updated in real time.

Automated workflows

Order confirmations, approval chains, production planning, purchasing suggestions — the system does the routine work for you.

Mobile access

Warehouse staff, couriers and field agents work from a phone or tablet with barcode scanning and an offline mode.

Data ownership

The data remains yours; we hand over the source code, and a transfer of copyright can be provided for in the contract. You can choose hosting in Latvia, in the EU or on your own server.

How we work

What are the 4 steps of ERP system development?

ERP system development takes four steps. Analysis: a free consultation, a review of your processes, a technical specification and a fixed budget. Development: iterative sprints in which you see the progress. Rollout: data migration, integration with your existing systems, team training and a gradual launch. Support: maintenance and development under an SLA.

01 / 04

Analysis

We start with a free consultation and study your business processes, goals and user needs. The result is a clear technical specification, a list of features and a fixed budget.

02 / 04

Development

AI-accelerated development in iterative sprints. You see the progress at every stage and can give feedback. The code is yours, with no vendor lock-in.

03 / 04

Rollout

We migrate the data, integrate with your existing systems, train the team and run user testing. The launch is gradual, so day-to-day work is not disrupted.

04 / 04

Support and SLA

After the launch we provide maintenance, security updates and feature development under an SLA. Response time — up to 4 hours on a working day.

Price

How much does ERP system development cost?

An ERP MVP with 2–3 modules starts from ~25,000 EUR. A full ERP system with production, warehouse and accounting integration — from ~50,000 EUR. social.tech prepares an exact estimate after a process audit during a free consultation. LIAA digitalisation support can cover up to 50% of the project cost.

We help you apply for the LIAA digitalisation support grant — EU co-funding can cover up to 50% of the project cost.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The first module (MVP) takes 2–3 months. A full ERP system with all modules takes 6–12 months. We develop iteratively, so you can start using the first module quickly and develop the others alongside your work.

The initial investment for an MVP is from ~25,000 EUR. A full system — from 50,000 EUR. In the long run the cost is lower than SAP or Microsoft Dynamics licences and implementation.

Yes, we can integrate with Horizon, Zalktis, Tildes Jumis and EDS to exchange waybills, invoices, VAT returns and payroll data.

Yes — ERP implementation is one of the most common cases for the LIAA digitalisation grant. We help with the application, and the support can cover up to 50% of the cost.

Yes, for ERP systems we offer SLA contracts from 500 EUR/month with a response time of up to 2 hours for critical bugs. They include security updates, backup monitoring and feature development.

Yes, data migration is part of the ERP rollout stage. During the rollout social.tech migrates data from the old systems, integrates the ERP with your existing systems, trains the team and runs user testing. The launch is gradual, so day-to-day work is not disrupted. If your accounting runs in Horizon, Zalktis or Tildes Jumis, the ERP is integrated with it, so that data does not have to be entered twice.

The ERP system's data remains yours. social.tech hands over the source code, and a transfer of copyright can be provided for in the contract. Any data set can be exported. You can choose hosting in Latvia, in the EU or on your own server, so the system is not tied to one supplier. The code is yours, with no vendor lock-in.

Yes, an ERP can be integrated with 1C. social.tech chooses the type of connection according to what the specific version and licence allow: the system's API or web services, regular data exchange through files (XML, CSV) or an intermediate database. Before development we agree with your accountant which system is the master for each type of data, so that the systems do not overwrite each other's data.
